Ubaia Exotic Fruit Plants (Eugenia patrisii)

Ubaia is a very beautifull looking evergreen tree, native to S. America - Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guyanas. They grows well in shady position and the freshly planted young trees grow quite slowly. The delicious sweet fruits are gathered from the wild, as well as being grown in home gardens for there edible fruits and as an ornamental plant. We can eat the fruit raw and made into ice cream and jellies . The fruits are around 4cm in diameter and the thin-skinned fruit has a thick, succulent pulp with a pleasant, aromatic, sweet flavour.
