DIFFICULTY

Easy - Low maintenance

LIGHT

Provide bright, indirect light to maintain the plant's vibrant variegation. While it can tolerate lower light levels, the variegation may fade, and growth may slow down. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

CARE TIPS

Watering: Water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important to ensure that the pot has good drainage. Be mindful not to let the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Humidity: Scindapsus Jade Satin Aurea Variegated prefers moderate to high humidity levels (around 50-60% or more). You can increase humidity by misting the plant regularly, using a humidifier, or placing a tray of water nearby.

Temperature: This plant thrives in temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Avoid exposing it to temperatures below 55°F (13°C) and protect it from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.

Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as one formulated for aroids. A mix containing peat, perlite, and orchid bark will provide the necessary aeration and drainage.

Fertilization: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer at half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in the fall and winter when the plant's growth naturally slows.

Pruning: Prune as needed to maintain the desired shape and size. Removing any yellow or damaged leaves will help keep the plant looking its best and encourage new growth.

Propagation: Scindapsus Jade Satin Aurea Variegated can be propagated through stem cuttings. Cut a healthy vine just below a node, and place the cutting in water or moist soil until roots develop.
