Pitanga de Perdiz/Eugenia Observa is a fairly fast-growing, shrubby bush or small tree several feet high, from the scrublands of central and southern Brazil. It also called as Guamirim vermelho do cerrado and Guamirim de perdiz. The red-colored fruit is small and it is a resemblance to Eugenia reinwardtiana. The fruit has a flavor similar to persimmon and dragon fruit with mild notes of red Guavas.
