Maparang Exotic Fruit Plants (Bouea Macrophylla)

Maparang Fruit/Bouea Macrophylla is a flowering plant species, native to Southeast Asia, commonly referred to as Gandaria or Plum Mango, Mango Plum. The juicy, orange-colored flesh, which sticks to the seed, tastes sweet or sweet-and-sour with a hint of turpentine. The taste is mango-like and the texture is plum-like. It's part of the same family as mango. Maprang is a great source of vitamin C, fiber, and beta-carotene. The fruit is also packed with calcium, iron, and phosphorus.
