Lonicera sempervirens commonly known as coral honeysuckle, trumpet honeysuckle, or scarlet honeysuckle; is a flowering plant species of honeysuckle vine native to the eastern United States which is known for its reddish flowers. Flower color; Red on the exterior part and yellow inside. Bloom Time; Mid spring to late summer. One of the sweetest and long-lasting fruity-scented plants are the Honeysuckle Sempervirens Plant.It attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Trumpet honeysuckle is grown for ornamental purposes, often as an alternative to the invasive species Japanese honeysuckle.

CARE TIPS

Plant in rich well-drained soil. Water regullarly; do not over-water. For any insect attack or disease, you can use Neem oil or organic pesticides. If you are planning to repot, it's best to wait at least 2 or 3 weeks after getting your new plant. Apply any organic fertilizer.

Fertilizing :Trumpet honeysuckle vines will need a generous feeding of compost or a full dose of time-released, balanced fertilizer each spring. Cover the roots with 5 cm of mulch, and water in generously.

Pruning : Trim the dead, diseased, overgrown branches in winter.
