Kesusu Fruit/Prainea Limpato is the strangest and coolest fruit of Borneo Island, belongs to the Jackfruit family, a type of Latex plant. The seeds are soft, loosely embedded in the fruit and easy to pull out and the surface of the seed is oily. The pulp tastes sweet with a bit of sourness and has a very tropical aroma, similar to a garcinia (e.g. like the Purple Mangosteen). The pods are facing outwards and the skin is soft and edible too. The ripen Kesusu is in orange and yellow colors. It really looks like a star.
