The jaboticaba, also known as the Brazilian grapetree, is a unique and fascinating fruit tree native to Brazil. It is characterized by its cauliflory, meaning the fruits grow directly on the trunk and branches of the tree. This unusual trait gives the tree a striking appearance, especially when in full fruit.

The tree itself is evergreen and can grow up to 30 feet tall. Its leaves are oval-shaped and glossy green. The flowers are small and white, and they bloom directly on the bark.
