Dendrobium orchids generally prefer bright, indirect light. Place your plant where it can receive plenty of filtered sunlight, such as an east or west-facing window. However, avoid exposing it to direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause leaf burn.

Temperature: Dendrobium orchids typically thrive in warm temperatures during the day (around 70-85°F or 21-29°C) and slightly cooler temperatures at night (around 55-65°F or 13-18°C). Providing a moderate temperature fluctuation can help stimulate blooming.

Humidity: These orchids prefer moderate to high humidity levels. You can increase humidity by placing a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles beneath the orchid pot or by using a room humidifier. Misting the orchid occasionally can also help, but avoid misting the flowers directly.

Watering: Water your Dendrobium regularly during the growing season (spring and summer), allowing the potting mix to dry out slightly between waterings. In the winter, reduce watering frequency, allowing the mix to dry out more between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as it can lead to root rot.

Potting Mix: Use a well-draining orchid potting mix, such as a blend of bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite. Repot your orchid every couple of years or when the potting mix breaks down and becomes soggy.

Fertilizing: During the growing season, fertilize your orchid every 2-4 weeks with a balanced orchid fertilizer diluted to half-strength. Reduce or stop fertilizing during the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.

Air Circulation: Good air circulation is essential for Dendrobium orchids to prevent fungal and bacterial infections. Provide adequate ventilation around the plant by using a fan if necessary.

Blooming: Dendrobium orchids typically bloom once a year, usually in the spring or early summer. To encourage blooming, provide a slight temperature drop (about 10-15°F or 5-8°C) at night for several weeks in the fall.

Pruning: Remove spent flower spikes after blooming to encourage the growth of new spikes.
