Colocasia 'Black Coral' thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct sunlight but too much can cause the leaves to scorch. Indoors, place it near a bright window but out of direct sun rays.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Water when the top inch of the soil feels dry. This plant prefers slightly moist conditions, so regular watering is essential, especially during the growing season.
Soil
Soil Type: Use a rich, well-draining soil mix. A mix of potting soil with added organic matter like compost or peat moss works well.
Temperature and Humidity
Temperature: Colocasia 'Black Coral' prefers warm temperatures between 20-30°C (68-86°F). Protect it from cold drafts and temperatures below 10°C (50°F).
Humidity: High humidity is beneficial. Maintain humidity levels around 60-80%. Use a humidifier or place a tray of water with pebbles near the plant to increase humidity.
Fertilization
Fertilizer: Feed the plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in the fall and winter.
Repotting
Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its current pot. Choose a pot slightly larger than the current one with good drainage. Ensure the new pot allows the plant to maintain a height of 15-25 cm including the pot.
Pruning
Pruning: Remove any dead or yellowing leaves to encourage healthy growth. Pruning helps maintain the plant’s size and appearance.
