Dazzling yellow to orange flowers adorn this strong grower from Thailand which blooms freely from late winter until late fall. Climbing Bauhinia makes a wonderful container plant with staking or support. The showy blooms emerge on the tips of new growth opening yellow and darkening to a deep orange. The more sun the better preferring 60ºF lows, although it will tolerate temperatures into the 30s for short periods. The simple, shallowly bifid leaves are arranged alternately along the stem. The young leaves are red in colour, turning green as it matures. The upper leaf surface is glabrous, the lower leaf surface is covered with a layer of hairs.
