Wooly Leaved Sapote Exotic Fruit Plants (Casimiroa Tetrameria)

Wooly Leaved Sapote /Casimiroa Tetrameria is an evergreen tree with a rounded crown and thick, pale branches. It usually grows up to 9 metres tall and it is identical to the white sapote in growth and the fruit flavour. The main difference between the plants is in appearance, the wooly-leaved sapote having a dense, white, furry underside to its leaves. It is gathered from the wild for its edible fruit and the tree is also cultivated for this fruit. Fruits can be eaten out of hand, chilled and served in a fruit salad, baked, dried for later use. The ripe fruits have a firm, golden-yellow pulp with a sweet,delicious spicy flavour.
