Moderate maintenance

Provide bright, indirect light for your Starburst Bush. It can tolerate partial shade but prefers plenty of sunlight to encourage flowering and vibrant foliage.

Temperature: Keep the plant in a warm environment with temperatures between 65°F to 85°F (18°C to 29°C). It is not frost-tolerant and should be protected from temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring through fall), but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter months when the plant is resting.

Humidity: Starburst Bush appreciates moderate to high humidity levels. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly or by placing a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles beneath the plant.

Soil: Use a well-draining, fertile soil mix for Starburst Bush. A mix formulated for tropical plants or a combination of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well.

Fertilization: Feed your plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. Follow the instructions on the fertilizer packaging for application rates.

Pruning: Prune Starburst Bush as needed to maintain its shape and remove any dead, damaged, or leggy growth. You can also prune to encourage bushier growth and remove spent flowers.

Pests and Diseases: Keep an eye out for common pests such as aphids, scale insects, and spider mites. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Watch for signs of diseases such as leaf spot or powdery mildew and address them accordingly.

Propagation: Starburst Bush can be propagated from stem cuttings taken in spring or summer. Dip the cut end of the stem in rooting hormone and place it in a pot with moist potting mix. Keep the cutting in a warm, humid environment until roots develop.
